I personally spent months searching the internet for the perfect wedding dress. To my surprise, I bought the second dress I tried on at the first location I visited. For someone who went into the bridal store “to look”, I was shocked when I walked out with my wedding dress in hand.

Conveniently located on Charters Towers Road, Luv Bridal and Formal offers stunning, elegant designer wedding dresses in Townsville for the brides wanting to make a statement. You don’t have to book an appointment to view the beautiful weddings dresses in this store, however it is preferred. Their bridal stylists have years of experience to help guide you to finding that perfect dress. They offer a large number of bridal gowns with sizes ranging from 2-28, which are ready to purchase off the rack or layby depending on your circumstances. This makes for a stress-free experience.
Bridal Palace
The Bridal Palace is a boutique wedding dress house Located on Denham Street in Townsville’s CBD. This boutique boasts sophistication and offers an intimate experience for you and up to four family members or close friends. They are opened from Wednesday to Saturday by appointment only, so make sure you book your appointment early to avoid disappointment. There is a $40 appointment fee, which I feel is well worth it considering you will have the boutique to yourself, and the fee is credited when you purchase your dream dress. The Bridal Palace has sample dresses available to try on during your appointment, but will order your dress specific to your measurements. The wedding dresses range from $1200-$4000 depending on the designer and style.
Signature Bridal and Formal
This is one of my favourite bridal shops in Townsville, and is actually where I bought my wedding dress. The owner sources many of her wedding gowns from designers overseas, so if you’re looking for a dress that will unlikely be selling in any of the wedding dress shops in Townsville or Australia, this is the place for you. They have a large number of beautiful gowns in stock, which range from budget friendly dresses to luxurious designer gowns. They also offer a variety of bridesmaid and mother of the bride dresses. Most wedding dresses require some form of alterations, and M’s Alterations is convenient located next door to the Signature Bridal and Formal shop. The one thing I appreciated when buying my wedding dress from this store was the customer service. Not only was the bridal stylist honest, but she worked within my budget to make my wedding dress dreams come true.
Blushous Beauty and Bridal
I’m so pleased I came across the Blushous Beauty and Bridal Lounge. What I love so much about this store is it offers romantic designer gowns and pre-loved wedding dresses. They are the exclusive retailer to some well-known wedding dress designers from Australia, these include Rebecca Ingram, Everlyn James and Elly Bride. What’s really great about the Blushous Bridal Lounge is once you’ve finished with your wedding gown, they offer the service to re-sell your dress. Most brides will only wear their wedding dress once, so this is a fantastic way to make space in your wardrobe and earn some extra money for your honeymoon. What makes this one of the unique wedding dress shops in Townsville is the beauty bar and makeup artistry it offers. Buying your wedding dress and booking your makeup on the same day for your Townsville wedding is the perfect combination.
Wedding Gowns by Melinda
Another fantastic bridal store to find your beautiful wedding look is Wedding Gowns by Melinda. This is one of the wedding dress shops in Townsville that offers an excellent experience for all sizes, budget and style. Their bridal gowns range from $1200 to $3500, and operate by appointments to offer the bride-to-be and her 2-3 guests the best service. They also encourage walk-in customers, but prefer appointments to ensure you can be seen by one of their experienced bridal consultants.
